The final Art in Action – 14-17 July 2016

11th May, 2016

This is the last year for Art in Action. Make it a great final year for them and have a great day out.  Join in and book a place on one or more of their Art classes – with over 3,000 places and 40 crafts to choose from this year, you will be able to tap into your inner artist.

The Practical Classes Teachers are all artists or art teachers. They also have a joint display in the Teachers Exhibition Tent and most of the works are for sale. It’s a wonderful opportunity to see a wide variety of art created to a very high standard.

Half of the places for each class are now available for pre-booking – click here.

Each day of the Festival, the other half of places for each class will be sold from 9.30 am onwards at the Practical Classes Ticket Tent (you can only purchase tickets for your class on that day).

Practical Classes available range from Clay & Pottery, Jewellery & Enamelling, Printmaking, Sculpture, Textiles, Papermaking, through to a wide selection of Painting & Drawing classes from some of the most respected artists in the country.

Tickets range from £8.50 to £15. Most classes have three daily sessions (but some vary so check when booking):

As well as this you can see up to 400 artists, crafters, performers and musicians gather together in Waterperry Gardens to demonstrate their skills and show their work. You can watch the potter pot, the painter paint and the sculptor sculpt. You can ask the masters of the arts of jewellery, textiles, woodwork and glassblowing about the secrets of their craft.
